Watermelon Tito’s Slushies

The mint is from my herb garden and I don’t know why but when you grow it, it just tastes better. No watermelon growing here though. I don’t have room. I do however have a potted herb garden and I have managed to keep everyone happy and alive! Isn’t it cool how nature just knows how to adapt?

Here’s the quick recipe that I modified to fit the timeframe I had. You can go to Chrissy’s lifestyle brand site called Cravings by Chrissy Teigan for the full overnight version. I’m too impatient when it comes to vodka and these tasted delicious just like this.

I saw these on Chrissy Teigan’s Instagram and when I walked by the fresh watermelon at the grocery store... you see what happened next by these babies on my counter.

Ingredients:

1/4 cup freshly squeezed lime juice

1/4 cup Organic Cane Sugar

4 cups seedless watermelon

1 cup Tito’s (or your fav Vodka)

Fresh mint to garnish

Directions:

1. Put the watermelon, lime juice, sugar and vodka in a large @vitamix type blender. Mix until liquid at medium to high speed.

2. Start with 2 cups of ice and add in the blend to the thickness of slushee you like most.

3. Pour into glasses and grams oh with mint.

You may need to work in batches if you have a smaller blender. Just add everything to a large bowl or pitcher and mix before adding liquids to blender. Then add ice.

Cheers! And… you are welcome!

Xoxo, Heather
