Flower Facts

What are flower essences?
Flower essences are the subtle liquid extracts of the life force of a flowering plant or tree. Each flower has its own specific energetic imprint or vibrational pattern that can assist in balancing emotions. These energies can assist in evoking
qualities such as hope, fearlessness and joy.

How do flower essences work?
They work on a vibrational level by restoring the connection of the uprooted emotion or feeling, and replaces them with
the positive and balanced aspects. The “resonance” of the flower imprints the life force of each specific flower to help with emotional growth. Flower essences do not work like chemical interventions in our bodies. They work through various
energy fields which in turn benefit our emotional well being.

One of my favorite descriptions of how flower essences work is through FES (Flower Essence Services)
where I am a member of the Flower Essence Society:

‘We can say that flower essences work in a similar way to inspirational music or art, which carry meaning through the vehicle of sound or light, while the flower essences work through the medium of water. This principle is known in physics as resonance. Just as a piano string will sound when its resonant note is sung, so our own “soul chords” respond to the “soul notes” of the flower essences which we need for our healing and growth”.

How are flower essences different from essential oils?
Although flower essences and essential oils work well to complement each other, they are vastly different. Essential oils are a fragrant and physical extract and flower essences are a subtle energy extract and have no scent. Essential oils enter through the senses to be effective and flower essences impact us through energy and vibration.

What is the preservative in my oral flower essence elixir blends?
I use an organic vegetable glycerin.

Are there any interactions or side effects?
They are perfectly safe to take in conjunction with all other modalities and will not conflict with any medications. They are safe, non-addictive and have no side effects. *If you have a serious mental or emotional condition, or a known medical concern,
you should seek the care or advice of a qualified health practitioner.

How to take a flower essence elixir?
Take 4 drops 4 times a day. You can do this a few ways such as taking it straight from the dropper under the tongue. Be careful not to touch your mouth and if you do so, rinse the dropper under warm water before placing it back in the bottle. If you are a person who carries a big water bottle all day, you can add 16 drops to the bottle. The elixir can go in any liquid.

How many blended bottles can you take at one time?
It is my suggestion to use only one blend at a time whether it is a pre-made flower essence elixir or working with
me one one one for a custom blend.

What flower system did I train in?
Most of my education thus far has been rooted in the teachings of Dr. Edward Bach which I began learning in 2010.
Dr. Bach was a Physician and Homeopath in the 1930’s. He believed that mental states had a direct impact on our physical health and discovered a way to capture the energy and vibrations of flowers. Dr. Bach believed that each flower has a
particular quality that is an exact match to a human emotion. He created the 38 remedies that I work with and he proposed that our health and happiness results by being in harmony with our own nature. Dr. Bach’s home in Mount Vernon in the United Kingdom is now the Centre for Education where many professional therapists, doctors and holistic practitioners
learn to incorporate his remedies into their work.
